Methodology
Where the data comes from
Retirement dates: from LEGO’s official product data (the end-of-sale field of each set). They are synced daily. LEGO can bring a retirement forward if stock runs out: the date is the ceiling, not a guarantee.
Official price: from LEGO.com (es-es), with its capture date.
Amazon price: captured from amazon.es with a visible date on each set page. We are Amazon affiliates: if you buy through our links we receive a commission at no cost to you.
Prices from other shops in Spain: observed automatically (Drim and, when they are active, the feeds of the Awin affiliate network) with a visible date next to each figure. Shop links are informational unless the block says otherwise: those that come through Awin may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.
Observed Demand Index (IDO): a 0-100 percentile of market activity that has already happened (price events, stock changes, followers, shops with stock), with weights computed by PCA — no human input. It is not a prediction or buying advice. Full IDO methodology.
What we do NOT do
- We do not invent discounts: a “deal” only exists if Amazon is below LEGO.com’s official price in our latest capture.
- We do not publish ROI or resale value projections: nobody knows them and we are not going to pretend we do.
- We do not show retirement dates without a source: if a set has no date, there is no badge.
Errors
If you see a wrong figure, write to us and we will correct it: correcting data is part of the job.
