LEGO Harry Potter

140 sets in the lineup · 34 with announced retirement

Harry Potter at a glance, according to the official lineup

Data from the daily sync with the LEGO lineup; dates can change and each set page shows the current one.

Harry Potter works by periodic rebuilding: LEGO builds Hogwarts in parts over a few years, retires it, and some time later builds it again split up differently. Whoever collects the castle module by module lives with an eye on that — if you are missing a specific classroom and its batch is being retired, the clock is real, because the next Hogwarts will not fit with yours.

Outside the castle, the criteria look like Marvel's: the iconic scenes (the alley, the express, the big display sets) have lasting adult demand; the small sets rotate and come back in another format. Exclusive minifigures are, once again, the quiet key to value. Our rule for this theme: complete what you have already started before its batch goes; starting a new collection is never urgent.

Let us add the dimension that causes the most confusion when buying: scales. The theme lives in three — classic minifigure (the play sets), the larger-scale collector D2C sets, and the microscale of the complete castles — and they do not mix well on display. A lot of gift disappointment comes from there: the spectacular microscale castle in the photo is no good for playing with the figures from the other sets. Before buying, decide what it is for: play (minifigure scale, always on sale), display (D2C, a single window), or the micro treat (cheap, eye-catching, and also with short runs). Each scale has its own clock. The live data on this page closes the loop: how many sets in the theme are on the way out and which is the biggest — with the modular castle, the difference between completing and regretting.
