LEGO retirement report 2026

Every year LEGO retires hundreds of sets from its official range, and that date — not the hype — is the only thing that really marks when a set stops being at store price. At LastChanceBricks we capture the official retirement date of each set and bring it together here: how many leave in 2026, in which months they cluster and which themes take the biggest hit. These are facts observed in our database, not estimates. You won’t see an “estimated value” or promises of appreciation: pricing sets without real sales is smoke, and it’s not what we do here.

How we counted this

We count each set with an official retirement date within 2026 recorded in our database, filtering out merchandise and promotional polybags without a useful page. “Pieces” is LEGO’s official count; the themes are the official taxonomy. We don’t apply any price, appreciation or probability model: if we haven’t observed it, we don’t publish it. You can rebuild these figures from the list of sets retiring and the archive of retired sets. More detail in our methodology.

Data from LastChanceBricks · retirement dates can move; each set page shows the latest one observed.
