BrickHeadz is pure collecting in big-head format: figures with few pieces, a modest price and characters from every franchise. Their charm and their trap are the same thing: they are launched in batches tied to film releases, anniversaries or seasons (even pets), they live briefly on shelves and they are not re-released.

The sensible buying pattern here is different from that of big sets: nobody "needs" a BrickHeadz, but completing a series after the fact is disproportionately expensive compared with what they cost new. If you collect a line, the retirement date is your only real alarm — the launch price is so low that resale prices double it without effort. If you do not collect, none of them is urgent: there will always be new big-heads from the next franchise waiting their turn on the new-releases shelf.

Two collector tricks that do not come in the box: first, the double and quadruple packs (couples, families, lineups) tend to have a better price per figure than the single ones, and they are also the ones that rise the most later, because they complete series in one go. Second, the seasonal BrickHeadz — Valentine's Day, Halloween, Christmas — have the shortest runs in the whole line and are the only ones where "I'll think about it next month" usually means arriving too late. The rest of the year, the line rewards calm: look at your franchise, decide which series you really collect, and ignore the rest of the shelf with a clear conscience. The grid below, sorted by date, is in practice the list of series that are closing — the figure a big-head collector needs before any other.
