The giant LEGO sets: every set with more than 3,000 pieces

Data rule: any set on sale with 3,000 pieces or more, regardless of theme.

At a glance, according to the official lineup

Data from the daily sync with the LEGO lineup; dates can change and each set page shows the current one.

There is a line beyond which a LEGO set stops being a set and becomes a project: we place it, with just the right amount of arbitrariness, at 3,000 pieces. Above that line live the sets you build over weeks rather than afternoons — Hogwarts Castle, the collector Gringotts Bank, the big Icons D2C sets — and it does not matter which theme they come from: they are bought, given and enjoyed the same way, so having them in a single cross-theme list makes more sense than looking for them theme by theme.

Three honest warnings before taking one on. Space: a built set of 4,000+ pieces takes up as much room as a small household appliance; it is worth knowing where it will live before buying it, not after. Pace: they are projects that take weeks, and that is precisely their value — in price per hour of enjoyment, nothing in the range comes close — but they frustrate anyone looking for weekend gratification. And the gift format: given the price (€150-500), they are natural group-gift territory, the "from all of us" for milestone birthdays and retirements, where, incidentally, they work brilliantly.

On retirements, the pattern we see in the data: the giants live more years than the average set, but when they leave, the hit on the secondary market is the hardest of all — the absolute markup on a retired €400 set is scary. The 31 July 2026 batch includes several from this list, starting with the 4,801-piece Gringotts. Below, the complete list by urgency, with the price verified against the official one on each product page.
