The LEGO sets with the best pieces-per-euro ratio (live ranking)

Data rule: pieces ÷ official LEGO.com price ≥ 13 pcs/€, sorted from highest to lowest. Recalculated with every data sync.

At a glance, according to the official lineup

Data from the daily sync with the LEGO lineup; dates can change and each set page shows the current one.

This is the simplest and most useful page on the site: the whole range, divided. Pieces divided by the official LEGO.com price, sorted from highest to lowest, with no opinion in between. The cutoff is 13 pieces per euro — roughly double the average across the range — and everything that appears below exceeds it. Unlike our guides, which are written and then stay put, this ranking is recalculated with the daily data sync: if LEGO changes an official price or retires a set, the list reorders itself.

Before using it, the metric's three traps, because a table without small print is advertising. A piece is not a piece: sets with tiny bricks (postcards, botanicals, mosaics) come out ahead of those with large pieces, and that is why they dominate the top of the ranking. Minifigures do not score: a set with six characters can be worth more to its recipient than a generic one with twice the bricks. And licensing costs money: the fact that Star Wars or Disney do worse here does not make them worse sets — part of the price goes to the brand owner, not to the plastic.

How do you use it well? As a tiebreaker. First decide who it is for and what it is about (age, franchise, budget — that is what the budget guide and the age guide are for), arrive with two or three finalists, and let the ranking break the tie. Used as the only criterion it would have you giving postcards to everyone — which, hey, there are worse ideas, but it is not a plan.
